| 2010 Pacific Northwest Junior National Qualifier (TWO Weekends) Weekend 1, March 19-21, 2010 12C, 13C, 14C, 14O, 16C age divisions Weekend 2, March 26-28, 2010 15C, 15O, 16O, 17C, 17O, 18C, 18O age divisions The twelfth Pacific Northwest USA Volleyball Qualifier (PNQ) is scheduled for play at the Spokane Convention Center, Spokane, WA, the Spokane Valley HUB in the Spokane Valley, and on the campus of Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Washington, a few minutes drive west of Spokane. We have teams competing in morning and afternoon waves on approximately 30 courts. This allows us to accept approximately 60 officials: National referees, Junior National referees, Nat’l/Jr.Nat’l candidates who are so verified by their region, local Regional officials, Regional officials from other regions and Referee Chair recommended Provisionals. If you would like to be a part of our staff, please print and fill out the reply form for officials and send it to me ASAP, no later than February 19th, 2010. The reply may be sent via email (margieray.ref@gmail.com), or regular mail to the address on the reply form. YOU MUST HAVE PASSED a BACKGROUND CHECK to officiate at the PNQ. If your region does not require this let me know and we will send you the appropriate forms (you are responsible for the $20 fee) to be completed BEFORE being accepted to work. Officials working the entire event will be paid $500 for an estimated 6 – 8 matches each day (Friday and Saturday) and 4 – 6 matches on Sunday (otherwise prorated). We expect to pay the officials as they leave the tournament. We will also provide for all out-of-town officials a shared hotel room (Thursday night, Friday night and Saturday night ONLY). Your lunch and dinner will be provided on a complimentary basis on full officiating days. The tournament will be operating a courtesy vehicle for transportation to and from the hotel/playing facilities. Please bring your complete officiating uniform (standard white official’s shirt, navy blue slacks, black belt, white socks and white tennis shoes with the appropriate USAV Official’s patch). There will be Official’s meeting at approximately 9:00 PM on Thursday, directly after the coaches meeting, on March 18th and another on Thursday, March 25th, at the Double Tree Hotel in Spokane.
